SADI-S surgery, like Gastric bypass, is a surgery that has both restrictive and malabsorption effects. This method is a highly effective surgery with its restrictive and serious absorption-reducing effects, both in weight loss and in solving metabolic problems, especially diabetes. This process significantly reduces the absorption of fats and energy in foods. In this surgery, approximately half of the length of the small intestine is bypassed. Provided that it provides lifelong vitamin and mineral support, SADI-S surgery is now considered one of the most effective and safe surgeries for type 2 diabetes patients.
Other Surgeries :
There are other surgeries such as transit bipartition, ileal transposition, etc., which are described for both obesity and the treatment of diabetes. However, postoperative experience with these surgeries is limited and long-term results are not definitive. It is applied in selected cases. Obesity and metabolic surgery, like every other branch of science, is a branch of science that develops every day. Current developments are closely followed by us and all developments deemed beneficial are applied to our patients.
